The Northwest Women's basketball team went two overtimes before defeating the Newman University Jets 70 to 67 in Wichita, KS at Newman's inaugural year in the conference and Northwest's first time playing them. 

Several players had big performances including Jaelyn Haggard.  Coming off the bench, she had a big three in the second overtime and ended up with 12 points overall and four 3-pointers in the game.

Also Malloy McConkey had a strong performance.  She had 13 points with 8 rebounds to go along with 4 assists and a steal.

The Bearcats shot 38.8% from the field in the contest, 29% from the the 3-point range, and 9/10 at the free-throw line.

Northwest will be back in action on the road Saturday against Central Oklahoma at 1:30 p.m.
